Testimonials

  • “I personally benefited from the group experience because I feel that I had more accountability. I learned many new things and having the main points of the book gone over in the group session helped to cement them in my brain. Being in a group also helped confirm that I’m not alone in this journey and that my symptoms are real but can be alleviated. The people in my group had some good insight and we had common paths. Rachel explained things clearly. She was also open to questions and gave quick, detailed answers. The content was spot on in regards to explaining and giving examples of symptoms and how they can be caused by neuroplasticity. The exercises and meditations were extremely helpful. [I gained] awareness of triggers and my own thoughts in response to them. I learned how to talk to my brain and also to retrain some of the thought processes. I learned several ways to go back to my past and change my perspective on it and also how to pull the positive out and reprogram the outcome of what happened. I’ve learned how to set more boundaries and also to not carry things that are out of my control.”

-Carolyn (Unlearn Your Pain Book Club member, Summer 2026)

  • “[The Unlearn Your Pain Book Club] was a really valuable experience. Rachel Hollander provided a safe, supportive space where we could learn from and support each other. There was a lot of opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion. I’m glad it was a small group. I think we got along well and it was good to hear other people’s reactions and have exchanges and support each other throughout this process. Rachel is an empathic, compassionate listener. It’s clear that she has had her own experience with symptoms and disability. She always took the necessary time to go in depth on questions when needed and was always available to answer questions on the portal between sessions.”

    -B.C. (Spring 2026)

  • “The book club enabled me to understand, dive in and apply the concepts of "The Power of Now" much more easily than if I had read it on my own…The videos [by Rachel Hollander] were excellent to break down the material of the book. I am much more grounded and in the "now" and the "being" after reading this book. Everyone with neuroplastic symptoms would benefit greatly from reading this book and the book club.”

-The Power of Now Book Club member (Spring 2026)

  • L.D. from the Unlearn Your Pain Book Club (Spring 2026) describes her experience as excellent, with positive group dynamics, effective communication by Rachel Hollander, and relevant content to the healing process, which allowed her to add several new foods into her diet, that had been limited due to neuroplastic symptoms.

Testimonial

  • "I joined Rachel Hollander's support group for medical and mental health professionals. I truly appreciate her leadership of our group. Having led many myself, I know how much skill it takes. The connection with others on this path has become very important to me. I loved the interaction with other similar professionals. I felt everyone was respectful of the others in the group and caring. Rachel was always available and responsive to me when I contacted her. I loved the chat [forum]."
